Is overeating sabotaging your weight loss efforts? Overeating can be a tricky subject because the deeper reasons why people overeat are different (and complicated!) for everyone.
Some people overeat to stuff painful emotions while others respond to stress with second and third helpings.
For long-term sucess in the battle against overeating, it’s really worth unpacking those motivations, which is something we do in our CKDM mentorship. But we always pair emotional care with practical ways to monitor your eating habits, too.
That’s why I’m sharing some of our favorite, practical tips that you can implement now to help you stop overeating—no matter what the reason is. For example, Dr. Mimi uses a corncob pick instead of a fork to ensure she eats slowly, which gives your brain enough time to send the proper cues to your body that you are FULL.
Ultimately, our goal at CKDM is to help you become more attuned to what your body is telling you, because when you’re not being mindful and present about how much food you’re taking in, overeating and its negative effects are knocking at your door.
In this week’s tip video, you’ll learn:
- How to remain mindful of what you’re eating while still enjoying your meal
- Tips and tricks I use to eat less and slower
- The way your brain communicates with your body about food
