Weight Loss Success Story I Melissa is Down 14 Inches!

how our client Melissa lost 14 inches and gained freedom from food

When women enter our CKDM mentorship, they don’t get “quick-fix” weight loss tips; they get tools to make changes to their health and fitness that last a lifetime!

Because it’s not about how fast you can lose weight, it’s about getting the support you need to do the tough mental and emotional work that needs to be done to lose weight and keep it off!

In our mentorship program, we give women the tools to:

  • Improve their relationship to food and exercise
  • Discern which mental and emotional blocks are preventing them from getting healthy
  • Create lifestyle changes that sustain health and fitness for life
  • Utilize apporpriate tools that they can draw from even after they’re done with the mentorship

Melissa has done this so well and that’s why she is DOWN 14 inches! We are so proud to feature her today.

One of my favorite things she said when she was done with our program is:

“I learned that imperfect action is perfect action because I was doing something as opposed to nothing.”

Melissa has taken charge of her health, and we couldn’t be more excited for her. We know she can do anything she sets her mind to do.

This is her story in her own words.

Melissa’s Story

Before starting CKDM, I was stuck, uncomfortable in my skin, and afraid to be vulnerable.

I self-sabotaged my efforts often.

I had no accountability.

I wanted to lose 40 pounds in six months. Through this program, my biggest change was mental. Once I made the mental shifts I needed to with the help of Coach Kat and Dr. Mimi, the physical component started to change.

I did not make my weight loss goal, but I am okay with that because I have built a solid foundation during this time with my habits and my ability to self coach.

I lost over 14 inches which is awesome! I feel better in my clothes and about my body.

I learned that imperfect action is perfect action because I was doing something as opposed to nothing. I learned that carbs are okay and not the devil. I gained freedom from food by reframing my thoughts about food and becoming more in tune with my body and what it’s telling me. I have also gained useful and powerful mantras to guide me through any negativity and doubt that might creep in.

I am so grateful for the time I’ve had at CKDM!
